I accidentally copied another patient’s 1-liner assessment into my other patient’s chart. Created an addendum (as I can no longer edit the text) and called IT to see if they can go back and delete it.
Wondering if anyone has ever been able to go back and edit an electronic note for an error? Worried about a HIPPA violation. Anything else I can do at the moment?
